We have just returned from Oxford in the UK where we have spent around three weeks with our son Jerome, at Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, from where he underwent a very sensitive surgery so as to remove a tumour from his limb.
Early last February, I've been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm which needed to be treated in UK hospital. My concerns were not only about my health matter but also about accomadation for my family member who offered to accompany all throughout my stay in UK.
In 2008 we were blessed with the arrival of a second child. Soon after his birth we realised that our kid developed problems in his eyes. After several failed attemptsto resolve his three conditions here in Malta,which included a handful of surgeries and other related treatment, we decided to search for specialised help in the UK.

In the second half of 2013, my wife was diagnosed with a serious eye condition in both her eyes which could lead to blindness if left untreated. It turned out that at that time, the necessary treatment was not available in Malta and my wife and I had to go to a leading eye hospital in the UK for treatment.

Now, that I am getting closer and closer to finishing my treatment, I felt I had to send you a small thank you message concerning you, Dr. Victor Calvagna and the other nurses and doctors in Rainbow Ward. Honestly when I remember the first time entering the Ward, I still hadn’t met you guys as it was very early but I felt something which immediately made me feel at home.
