
The 60-hour Football Marathon in aid of Puttinu Cares will this year mark its 11th anniversary. Spanning 3 days, between the 8th and the 10thMay, this marathon will see more than 800 teams challenging one another in football matches at the Marsa Sports Ground.
Friday 8th May at 9am mass will be celebrated with hundreds of children attending from different school together with several other distinct personalities. The kick off will follow at 10am by H.E. Ms. Marie Louise Coleiro Preca and a 17 year old boy who is a cancer survivor. During the evening there will be an 80’s and 90’s Party by three local DJ’s – Pierre Cordina, Alex Grech and Ryan Spiteri. The party will be free of charge for all.
Saturday and Sunday a full jam-packed programme for all the families and children. Comprising of a big funpark and animation for the children … water zorbing, train rides, quad bikes, trampolines, slides, ride ons, inflatable castles, aerial ropeway, kids playing areas, sumo fighting, photos with your favourite Disney characters, martial arts, gymnastics, ongoing shows, magicians, clowns. During the evening a big show on the stage and entertainment for all the family during the evening programme.
We will be having webcam satellite transmission for the three days where people can see us from all over the world anytime of them day.
This marathon will be transmitted live on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th May on TVM, TVM2, ONE, NET, Xejk where loads of families will be sharing their experiences they had with Puttinu Cares.
After the excellent response Puttinu Cares received from the general public, we will be revealing during this marathon the new project for the future.
